This little "monster" was hanging on the wall next to my back door!

The last time I saw one of these, I was a teen. My Pop found one in the garden.

We put it in a jar and I poked it with a piece of a carrot.

Those pinchers went right through the carrot!

This is a Stag Beetle. Approximately 1.75 inches in length.

Attack Of the Starlings!

These birds appeared like locusts last week when the first warm day 

cleared the lawns of snow.

What you don't see is next door and across the street another hundred or so Starlings

pecking away at the lawns!

And just as fast as they arrived, they were gone!

A couple days later, I saw them again in another part of town.

Scared Of Crows?

When I saw this, I pulled over so fast the oncoming traffic hit the brakes to see if I was in an accident!

HOLY CRAP!

I thought, what the heck is in that yard that they are feeding on?

When I got close, they didn't fly off. Clumsy me. They weren't real.

This is one of the most tasteful Halloween displays I've ever seen.
