Seeing Eye Driver
"They're looking left, they're looking right,
they're not texting, they're not tweeting - no sir!
They're even breaking for squirrels."
Anyone remember "Toonces the driving cat" on SNL?

Kia Soul - Storm Trooper?
It's probably just me but, doesn't the back of this car
remind you of the Storm Troopers in the original Star Wars?

Sky Friday - Pan-STARRS Comet
Not much ado in the skies around here, especially with snow flurries most of this week.
However tonight, if the sky is clear, just after sunset we should be able to see the
Pan-STARRS Comet in the western sky! And it will repeat through the weekend at the same time.
More info on how to view it is here.

Where Is The Detroit Theater?
A Lakewood landmark closed and gone, replaced by a McDonalds.
When I was a kid I saw "Earth VS. The Flying Saucers"
and Steve McQueen in "The Blob" here.
Now, it's a McDonalds (I refuse to call it a restaurant)
But, where is the Detroit Theater now?
If you happen to drive down Riverside Drive and Franklin Avenue
you can see its remnants on the porch at the home
of the publisher of The Lakewood Observer.
Perhaps he'll tell us how he came to collect this landmark sign?
