Backyard Bird Watch

Hairy Woodpecker Male.

A variety of birds are getting used to my backyard feeders.
It is important to keep feed out during these winter months and it's a delight to see these pretty birds.

Close to it - it's suet!

Basically, rendered fat mixed with nuts and seeds.

It's Woodpecker feed, a decayed piece of wood with insects in it.

Just kidding, a very wonderful picture to look at this morning.

Thanks!

I was at the bird shop yesterday and they actually sell dead meal worms and dormant larvae.
