German Air Force (Luftwaffe) Panavia Tornado. Swept-wing design -- wings move forward for takeoff and landing, then back for high speed flight. This one lives at Holloman AFB near Alamogordo, NM. Alamogordo means fat cottonwood, which has nothing to do with airplanes. If it were a US Air Force plane, it would proudly display the letters "HO" on its tail to designate Holloman.
Seriously, thanks for the info. Mike in TX loves planes. He was an airforce mechanic - and a good one, based on the fact that the Air Force still exists.
