Porpoise In The Chayote

I lined up the ingredients for a recipe called Ancho Chicken Chili
that I received from my brother and took this photo to send to him.
Just before they got ready to hit the pan, I noticed a green "Flipper" in the chayote!
(Pronounced: chay-OH-tay)

The recipe follows. This chili is outstanding! 
Please don't substitute zucchini for the chayote, though:
(the entire squash is edible)
